Responsibilities· Review MEP material specifications, project drawings, and BOQs to determine material requirements.· Prepare procurement schedules aligned with project timelines and construction sequences.· Source reliable suppliers and vendors for MEP materials and equipment.· Follow up on order acknowledgements, delivery schedules, and ensure timely delivery to site.· Coordinate with consultants and MEP engineers for material submittals and approvals.· Maintain and update procurement logs, vendor databases, and material tracking reports.· Ensure all procured materials meet quality standards and project specifications.· Assist in resolving delivery issues, shortages, or non-compliance with vendors.· Liaise with warehouse/storekeepers for material receiving, inspection, and inventory control.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). 4-6 years of experience in MEP material procurement in construction projects (preferably buildings, infrastructure, or industrial projects). Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Arabic Experience with ERP/procurement software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, firefighting, and ELV systems and materials. Familiarity with international standards and specifications (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, etc.). Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong vendor network and market knowledge.
