Some careers have more impact than others.

If you’re looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join HSBC and discover how valued you’ll be.

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

Why join us?

Step into a pivotal sales leadership role at HSBC, where you’ll drive revenue growth, shape sales strategy, and inspire high-performing teams to deliver exceptional results. As a senior Sales Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our contact center’s commercial success leading multiple teams, championing best-in-class sales disciplines, and ensuring our agents consistently exceed ambitious targets across a diverse suite of financial products.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact, commercially focused role for a sales leader who thrives on challenge and accountability. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end sales performance of multiple teams (circa 50 agents), spanning several product lines and customer segments. Your expertise in sales management, pipeline development, and performance optimization will be critical to ensure sustainable growth and market share for HSBC.

What you’ll do

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop, communicate, and execute robust sales strategies that align with HSBC’s commercial objectives and market opportunities.
  • Own the sales pipeline—monitoring, forecasting, and driving conversion rates across all stages of the sales funnel.
  • Implement and embed sales methodologies (e.g., consultative selling, solution selling, SPIN, Challenger, or similar) to maximize customer acquisition, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities.
  • Work with the central UAE Digital Channels team to set clear, measurable sales KPIs for teams and individuals; track performance daily and take swift action to address underperformance or capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Lead regular sales huddles, pipeline reviews, and deal clinics to drive accountability, share best practices, and celebrate wins.

Sales Coaching & Team Development

  • Coach, mentor, and develop Team Leaders and agents to elevate sales capability, objection handling, negotiation skills, and closing techniques.
  • Deliver targeted sales training and ongoing skills development, leveraging data and call monitoring to identify and address gaps.
  • Foster a competitive, high-energy sales culture that rewards achievement, resilience, and customer-centricity.

Multi-Product Sales Leadership

  • Oversee sales delivery across a broad portfolio of financial products (e.g., credit cards, loans, New to Bank accounts and Wealth Account opening), ensuring deep product knowledge and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Drive product penetration and wallet share by equipping teams to identify customer needs and match them with tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the UAE Digital Channels and Product teams to optimize campaigns, refine value propositions, and maximize lead conversion.

Sales Operations & Performance Management

  • Analyze sales data, dashboards, and market intelligence to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Manage sales forecasting, pipeline health, and resource allocation to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
  • Lead performance management processes, including regular 1:1s, mid-year and year-end reviews, and robust action plans for both high performers and those requiring improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement & Commercial Influence

  • Act as the senior sales voice in cross-functional forums, influencing business decisions and advocating for the needs of your teams.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Operations) to ensure seamless sales delivery and risk mitigation.
  • Represent the contact center in senior leadership meetings, providing clear, data-driven updates on sales performance and commercial initiatives.

Change Leadership & Innovation

  • Champion the adoption of new sales technologies (e.g., CRM, sales enablement tools, analytics platforms) to drive efficiency and insight-led selling.
  • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring teams are engaged, informed, and equipped to deliver in a dynamic environment.
What you will need to succeed in the role

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales management in a high-volume, target-driven environment.
  • Demonstrable track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth across multiple product lines.
  • Deep expertise in sales disciplines such as pipeline management, sales forecasting, consultative/solution selling, and performance analytics.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop sales leaders and agents, with a focus on advanced sales techniques, objection handling, and closing.
  • Experience managing complex sales operations, including resource planning, incentive design, and campaign execution.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions to optimize sales outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills—able to engage credibly at all levels.
  • High emotional intelligence, resilience, and a passion for building winning sales teams.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in the MENA market and/or financial services sector.
  • Experience as a second line manager or equivalent, leading multiple teams (40+ agents)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Familiarity with digital sales channels, omni-channel strategies, and CRM/sales enablement platforms.
  • Certifications in sales management, coaching, or operational excellence (e.g., ISM, Miller Heiman, Sandler, etc.).

Other Requirements

  • Proficient in English and local language.
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office, CRM, analytics tools).
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
