The Deputy Project Director will support the Project Director in the strategic leadership and delivery of a mega development project, ensuring successful execution across planning, design, procurement, construction, and handover phases. This role requires deep experience in managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder projects, providing governance, coordination, and operational oversight to achieve project objectives in line with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Assist the Project Director in overall project governance, strategy, and decision-making. Provide leadership across multiple project workstreams, packages, and interfaces. Oversee project execution to ensure alignment with approved master plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with developers, government entities, authorities, consultants, PMCs, and contractors. Monitor project controls including cost, schedule, risk, and change management. Review and approve key project deliverables, design packages, procurement strategies, and construction plans. Support contract administration, claims management, and dispute resolution. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, permits, and authority requirements. Champion health, safety, sustainability, and quality standards across the project. Lead executive-level meetings, progress reviews, and reporting to senior stakeholders. Act as Project Director in their absence, with full authority as required.
Experience Requirements25+ years of experience in major construction or development projects. Proven experience on mega or giga-scale developments (mixed-use, infrastructure, urban, or master-planned projects). Experience working with developers, PMCs, or EPC organizations. Demonstrated capability managing multiple contracts, packages, and stakeholder groups. Local Experience in Egypt is a must Fluency in Arabic & English language is a must
