Job Duties: Design of water, sewage, and irrigation pumping stations. Reviewing shop drawings and ensuring their compliance with the approved technical specifications for pumps, valves, and fittings.- Designing all mechanical works within wastewater treatment plants, such as determining the dimensions of sumps based on storage capacity, designing pumping stations for treated and excess wastewater, also head works and screens. Arranging mechanical components within the facility according to applicable codes. I actively collaborate with other departments to ensure coordination and prevent any clashes. Reviewing various technical offers for pumps and all mechanical equipment according to the project's technical specifications. BOQ (Bill of quantities) of all mechanical equipment in pumping stations. Selection of pumps for pump stations, as well as assessing the compatibility of the pumps components with the fluids they handle by ensuring the use of suitable materials Manometric head calculations and flow rate of pumping stations.- Selecting various types of valves for different pumping stations, whether for irrigation or sewage purposes.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in pump stations and treatment plants. Proficiency in preparing BOQs, design reports, and calculation sheets. Strong experience with Auto CAD and REVIT software. Good command of English (written and spoken). Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well both independently and within a team.
