Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo for an English Teacher and Social Studies Head of Department (HOD). The role involves developing and teaching comprehensive English and social studies curricula, collaborating with staff to align best practices, and mentoring team members in the social studies department. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, organizing departmental goals, and ensuring adherence to educational standards while fostering an engaging learning environment.
Qualifications Strong expertise in English teaching, including curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management. Proven leadership experience, particularly in managing a department, mentoring teachers, and organizing academic initiatives. Deep knowledge of social studies topics and ability to integrate critical thinking and analytical skills into teaching practices. Proficiency in communication, with excellent verbal and written English skills, along with interpersonal and organizational abilities. Ability to foster a collaborative team environment and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Bachelor's or advanced degree in English, Education, History, or a related field. Teaching certification or equivalent credentials are preferred. Experience in international or multicultural educational settings is a plus.
