We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Office Manager (Civil) to lead and manage all technical office functions across our projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction projects and a strong background in shop drawings, material submittals, quantity surveying, and coordination with project teams and consultants. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage the technical office team and ensure all engineering deliverables are aligned with project specifications, timelines, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the technical office team, including technical office engineers, quantity surveyors, and document controllers.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements before submission to consultants.
• Ensure all technical submissions comply with project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and planning teams.
• Oversee preparation of BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.
• Support tendering processes, including technical evaluation and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical support to ensure smooth execution on site.
• Handle variation orders, claims, and contractual technical correspondence.
• Ensure proper documentation control and maintain organised records for all project technical documents.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
• Participate in project meetings with consultants and clients when required.
