Manager in Audit (including specialized roles like Senior Manager or External Audit Manager) is a senior-level position responsible for planning, managing, and completing audit engagements. Key Responsibilities
- Engagement Management: Leading audit teams from planning to completion, including managing timelines and budgets.
- Review & Compliance: Reviewing audit working papers and financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS, ISA, and local regulations.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining relationships with clients, providing strategic advice, and engaging with regulators.
- Team Leadership: Supervising, mentoring, and training audit staff, as well as driving collaboration and innovative thinking within the team.
- Risk Assessment: Assisting in the development of annual audit plans by assessing risks.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification: Recognized qualifications such as ACCA, CA, ACA, or CPA are essential.
- Experience: Generally 10-15+ years of experience in audit, with significant time spent in senior audit leadership or specialized banking/financial roles.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in audit software, data analytics tools, and excellent communication skills in English and often Arabic.
