Job Summary

The Procurement Senior Officer ensures that the procurement is done in the correct place at the right time through monitoring the procurement process and activities and managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and third-party contactors to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute procurement and sourcing activities by ensuring that the required procurement standards are achieved and maintained, ordering goods to meet company demands, tracking orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and reviewing quality of goods.

• Research and assess profiles of potential vendors, suppliers, and third-party contractors, write RFPs, analyze offers, and negotiate contract terms of agreement.

• Maintain updated reports of procurement activities including procured goods, delivery information and invoices, and cost analysis and revenues to ensure procurement objectives are met and contribute to driving continuous improvement.

• Plan procurement activities to ensure maximum performance and minimum delays by reviewing orders confirmation and following up on claims to vendors, suppliers, and third-party contractors for defectives, shortage, or missing goods.

• Liaise with different internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs. 

• Attend events, fairs, and exhibitions to keep abreast of the industry and market trends.

• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
