- Implement and enforce occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments in production areas (furnace area, cutting, forming, packing, maintenance workshops).
- Identify potential hazards related to glass manufacturing such as:
- High temperature furnaces
- Sharp glass edges
- Heavy machinery
- Dust and noise exposure
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of PPE (helmets, gloves, safety glasses, heat-resistant suits, etc.).
- Conduct safety induction training for new employees and periodic safety awareness sessions.
- Coordinate emergency response plans (fire drills, evacuation drills, first aid readiness).
- Monitor compliance with OSHA standards and local labor safety laws.
- Follow up on contractor safety compliance inside the plant.
- Maintain safety records and prepare monthly HSE reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.2–5 years of experience in industrial safety, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.Holder of an accredited Occupational Safety & Health certificate issued by a recognized Occupational Safety and Health Center.Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and Egyptian labor law.Experience in conducting risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis.Ability to investigate accidents and prepare root cause analysis reports.Familiarity with safety procedures related to high-temperature furnaces, heavy machinery, electrical systems, and confined spaces.Experience in fire safety systems and emergency response planning.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Strong communication and training skills.
