About the Job:

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Category Specialist to join our dynamic team and drive category growth through effective sourcing strategies, merchandising, and strong vendor management, while leveraging market insights and cross-functional collaboration to enhance overall performance.

Responsibilities

Support the development and execution of the category strategy in alignment with B. TECH's overall business objectives. Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for category growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth product lifecycle management from launch to phase-out. Assist in defining product requirements, specifications, and positioning to meet customer needs and strengthen market competitiveness. Coordinate with vendors to support negotiations, product availability, and promotional planning. Monitor product performance, sales, and profitability, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize the product portfolio. Support the execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive awareness and sales performance. Provide product knowledge and category insights to sales teams to enhance in-store and online performance

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field1-3 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or a similar role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational capabilities A passion for retail and understanding of market trends
