About the Role We are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveying Team Leader to oversee all commercial and quantity surveying activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on a major development project. This role is responsible for managing cost control, contract administration, procurement coordination, and commercial reporting across all MEP packages, ensuring delivery aligns with project scope, timeline, and budget objectives.???? Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of MEP Quantity Surveyors, ensuring accuracy in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and commercial documentation. Review and validate MEP Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, and cost plans in line with project drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to ensure scope alignment and resolve discrepancies. Review, certify, and manage subcontractor interim payments, variations, and final accounts as per contract terms. Evaluate and negotiate change orders and support in resolving potential commercial disputes. Prepare detailed MEP cost reports, forecasts, and contribute to overall project cost control. Liaise with planning and procurement teams to align cost tracking with schedules and resource allocation. Support value engineering initiatives and identify cost optimization opportunities within MEP systems.✅ Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 6+ years of experience in MEP Quantity Surveying. Strong understanding of commercial and contractual principles across different contract types. Solid knowledge of MEP systems, construction methodologies, and contract management (including FIDIC). Proven experience managing subcontractor contracts and commercial negotiations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Auto CAD. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage teams effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Good understanding of Egyptian building codes, MEP regulations, and commercial laws.
