Mid-Level Structural Engineer (Steel Structures) We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mid-Level Structural Engineer (Steel) with solid experience in structural steel projects and BIM-based workflows. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in steel structural engineering, strong Revit skills, and practical knowledge of steel detailing, coordination, and construction documentation. Key Responsibilities1. Steel BIM Modeling & Documentation Develop detailed 3D structural BIM models for steel structures using Revit. Model steel framing systems including beams, columns, trusses, bracing, base plates, and connections. Produce accurate 2D drawings, GA drawings, shop drawings, sections, and connection details from BIM models. Coordinate structural steel models with Architectural and MEP disciplines to ensure clash-free integration.2. Structural Detailing & Analysis Coordination Work with senior structural engineers to reflect structural analysis results in BIM models. Coordinate with analysis software outputs (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD. Pro, etc.) to ensure alignment between design and detailing. Model steel connections, anchor bolts, welds, and bolted connections in accordance with design requirements. Ensure detailing complies with project specifications, codes, and fabrication standards.3. Coordination & Clash Detection Perform clash detection using Navisworks or BIM coordination platforms. Participate in coordination meetings and implement agreed model updates. Support resolution of multidisciplinary technical issues.4. Compliance & Standards Ensure modeling and documentation comply with applicable building codes and project requirements. Follow internal BIM standards including LOD requirements, naming conventions, and version control procedures. Maintain accurate revision tracking and documentation records.5. Quantity Take-Off & Support Extract steel quantities (tonnage, connection counts, bolt quantities) from BIM models. Support QS/Estimation teams in BOQ preparation and verification. Education Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (required). Required Skills & Competencies Experience3–5 years of experience in structural steel engineering. Experience in commercial, industrial, or themed steel structures is preferred. Technical Skills Good knowledge of steel structural design principles. Strong Revit skills for structural steel modeling. Proficiency in Auto CAD and Navisworks. Familiarity with ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD. Pro (coordination level). Knowledge of AISC, Saudi Building Code, and relevant international standards. Understanding of load types (dead, live, wind, seismic). Awareness of fabrication tolerances and erection considerations. Knowledge Areas Steel structural systems and framing concepts. Steel connection detailing basics. Fabrication drawings and construction documentation. Coordination with MEP and architectural disciplines.
