Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Account Manager to manage SME and Mid-Market client accounts, handle pricing, contracts, and act as the main point of contact for key accounts. The role requires excellent client relationship skills, strong organization, and the ability to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

SME & Mid-Market Pricing

  • Prepare allocated supplies on SME & Mid-Market portfolio accounts for pricing by checking termination status, credit status, metering situations, and other relevant factors.
  • Submit terminations on time and ensure acceptance.
  • Retrieve pricing from 35 suppliers via matrices and bespoke prices.
  • Analyze rates and propose them to clients, answering all queries regarding rates and terms.
  • Conduct credit checks before securing contracts or proposing options.
  • Update CRM with current tender status and new contracts.

Contract Negotiation / Agreements

  • Secure contracts when agreed with clients.
  • Ensure suppliers have all necessary information to confirm rates.
  • Handle bank details confidentially for direct debits.
  • Monitor processes until supplier confirms contracted rates, keeping clients updated.
  • Assist the customer take-on team with contract-related issues.

Queries and Key Account Management

  • Serve as the first point of contact for selected Key Accounts.
  • Address all client queries and provide energy advice.
  • Represent Key Accounts’ interests with suppliers or third parties.
  • Maintain clear records of contract status, queries, and updates.
  • Suggest process improvements to tailor Dr Cost’s services to client needs.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure contracts and supplies meet client requirements.

General

  • Perform database checks and data entry tasks as instructed by management.
  • Provide training and assistance to junior team members as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in account management, sales, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts.
  • Problem-solving skills and proactive approach to client needs.
  • Experience managing virtual client interactions and remote work.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and account management tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client requirements and business priorities.
