Job Purpose

JOB DESCRIPTION

To lead a group of Design Engineers in preparing work design and drawings in an accurate and timely manner to finally satisfy customer needs and expectations. Ensure efficient work in line with related policies and procedures and in coordination with management and related staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate with related staff, provide support and respond to enquiries. Ensure adherence to client budget through continuous review to the project contracts and time schedule. Ensure that the fundamental software needs of the section are available and that the tasks and activities are performed efficiently and cost effectively. Set initial project design according to project documents, time schedule and budget. Set regular coordination meetings with all concerned team to follow up, obtain needed information and highlight any obstacle problems to ensure smooth coordination with other disciplines. Supervise preparing project product (design, Shop drawing, BOQ, etc.). Ensure that the performance of various assigned tasks, and the conduct of staff within the section are in accordance with company’s policies and procedures. Analyze, prepare and calculate any tailor variation orders to maintain the project cost. Generate related reports and gather specific data for additional analysis if required. Review and quality assure all designs and shop drawings delivered by the section in compliance with established policies and procedures. Ensure that employee is working according to the company HSE policies and regulations, and fully aware of his job risk assessment and environmental aspects.
