Working Hours: Saturday to Thursday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

 

Job Description

A steel structure factory producing steel beams (cutting sheets, shaping, assembly and welding) is seeking a hands-on Production Engineer / Production Manager to lead the workshop team and manage day-to-day operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule daily and weekly production for cutting, forming, welding, and assembly of steel beams according to orders and delivery dates.
  • Supervise and lead the workshop team (experienced worker, welders, general workers and stock coordinator) to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality work.
  • Monitor material availability and coordinate with the bookkeeper/stock coordinator for steel sheets, profiles, consumables and gases; raise purchase requests when needed.
  • Ensure proper implementation of work instructions, welding procedures and quality standards for fabricated beams.
  • Follow up on machines and equipment (cutting, drilling, welding, handling) and coordinate basic maintenance with the relevant parties.
  • Track production output, productivity, scrap and rework; propose and implement improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Enforce safety rules and housekeeping in the workshop, conduct toolbox talks, and report/record any incidents or near misses.
  • Prepare simple production reports and KPIs for management (daily/weekly/monthly).
  • Participate in reviewing drawings and job cards to clarify any technical issues with the design / projects team when required.
  • Support training and skill development of welders and general workers, especially new or junior staff.

 


Proven experience in planning and supervising small production teams (5–15 workers) in a workshop environment.Good understanding of fabrication drawings, welding symbols and workshop documentation; familiarity with CAD is an advantage.Strong knowledge of basic production planning, workflow optimization, shop‑floor and problem solving.Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing.Good computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, basic reporting).Strong leadership, communication and team‑management skills.High level of organization, time management and ability to work under pressure to meet delivery deadlines.
