The R&D Manager – Bacterial Vaccines will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising bacterial vaccine development projects. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams including Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Production, and Business Development to ensure timely and compliant delivery of innovative veterinary bacterial vaccines.???? Key Responsibilities Manage and execute R&D programs for bacterial veterinary vaccines in alignment with MEVAC’s strategic objectives Lead development activities including:Bacterial strain selection, characterization, and optimization Antigen production and inactivation/attenuation strategies Adjuvant selection and formulation development Process development (upstream & downstream) Supervise laboratory studies, pilot batches, and scale‑up activities Prepare and review technical documentation, protocols, and development reports Ensure R&D activities comply with GMP, biosafety, and regulatory requirements Coordinate technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing Support regulatory submissions and respond to technical queries from authorities Manage and mentor R&D scientists and technical staff Troubleshoot development challenges and drive continuous improvement✅ Required Qualifications MSc or PhD in Veterinary Medicine, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Immunology, or related field7+ years of experience in veterinary vaccine R&D, with strong focus on bacterial vaccines Hands‑on experience in:Bacterial culture and fermentation Vaccine formulation and stability studies Process development and scale‑up Proven experience managing multiple R&D projects simultaneously Solid understanding of veterinary biologics regulations Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills Ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments
