- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for innovative medical devices and products.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing specialists to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs.
- Conduct engineering analysis such as stress, thermal, and tolerance studies to validate design integrity and performance.
- Participate in design reviews, provide technical input, and implement feedback to optimize product functionality and manufacturability.
- Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and evaluation, making iterative improvements based on test results.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design processes, changes, and specifications.
- Support the transition of products from design to manufacturing, addressing any technical challenges that arise.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, materials, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in design methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.5-8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering roles.Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.Experience with design validation, prototyping, and testing.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, cross-functional team.Strong communication and documentation abilities.Attention to detail and commitment to quality.Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
