Job Details

Strategic Asset Management (25%)

Develop and implement a global, long-term asset management strategy based on Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.

Define and standardize key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance across all sites (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, OEE for maintenance).

Oversee the company's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS/EAM), ensuring data integrity and leveraging it for predictive analytics.

Analyze asset life-cycle costs and develop strategies for end-of-life replacement or refurbishment.

Maintenance Program Leadership (25%)

Provide functional leadership to Site Maintenance Managers, ensuring consistency in applying maintenance standards and best practices.

Govern the global preventive (PM) and predictive (PdM) maintenance programs, incorporating vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, etc.

Oversee the planning and execution of all planned plant shutdowns and turnarounds, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and on budget.

Drive a root cause analysis (RCA) culture for major equipment failures to prevent recurrence.

Financial & Operational Performance (20%)

Hold full accountability for the global maintenance budget (OPEX and CAPEX), driving initiatives to reduce maintenance costs per unit produced.

Optimize inventory levels of critical spare parts through strategic planning and collaboration with procurement.

Improve plant uptime and availability by reducing unplanned downtime through enhanced reliability programs.

Manage relationships and contracts with key external service providers and OEMs.

Engineering & Capital Projects (15%)

Partner with Project Engineering to ensure maintainability and reliability principles are embedded in the design of new equipment and facilities (Right-First-Time installation).

Review and approve equipment specifications from a maintenance and reliability perspective.

Lead or sponsor capital projects focused on reliability improvements, automation, and obsolescence management.

Safety, Compliance & Team Development (15%)


Champion a zero-incident culture within the maintenance function, ensuring strict adherence to LOTO and other critical safety procedures.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant environmental and regulatory standards.
Build, develop, and mentor a world-class maintenance and reliability team. Develop talent pipelines and succession plans.
Promote continuous improvement and the adoption of new technologies within the maintenance function.
