Job Summary
The Procurement & Inventory Head is responsible for planning, managing, and controlling all procurement activities and inventory operations to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and services required for events. The role focuses on cost optimization, supplier management, inventory accuracy, and operational readiness in a fast-paced events environment.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with event requirements and budgets.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
- Manage purchasing of event materials, equipment, production items, and outsourced services.
- Ensure timely procurement to meet event timelines and project schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance, pricing, quality, and delivery standards.
Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory planning, control, and stock levels for event materials and assets.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, stock movement, and asset tracking.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of inventory items.
- Conduct regular stock counts, reconciliations, and audits.
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Control procurement costs and ensure purchases are within approved budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation and negotiation.
- Prepare procurement and inventory cost reports for management review.
Policies, Compliance & Reporting
- Develop procurement policies, procedures, and approval workflows.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual terms.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, inventory status, and supplier performance.
