This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.


Our client is a creative content and production studio that partners with brands across industries such as law, finance, healthcare, and entertainment. They specialize in producing high-quality video and visual assets at scale, helping clients maintain strong brand presence through consistent, professional, and engaging content across platforms.

Role Overview


The Social Media Strategist will own the social strategy, content calendar, captions, and platform-specific publishing for the studio and its client accounts. This role focuses on transforming existing content into 5–10 high-quality weekly posts, ensuring each brand maintains a consistent, effective, and platform-optimized presence—without requiring content production.


Key Responsibilities


Social Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and maintain social media strategies aligned with each brand’s goals and positioning.


  • Build and manage a content calendar planning approximately 5–10 tailored posts per week.


  • Define content pillars, themes, and posting cadence to ensure consistent and relevant output.


Content Adaptation & Publishing
  • Review and select from a large volume of existing studio-produced assets (video, graphics, clips).


  • Adapt assets into platform-ready posts, selecting appropriate clips, thumbnails, titles, and angles.


  • Write tailored, on-brand captions aligned with each client’s voice and audience.


  • Manage platform-specific posting and scheduling across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.


  • Optimize formats, aspect ratios, and basic metadata per platform.


  • Make light content adjustments such as basic video captioning, simple trims, and minor thumbnail tweaks.


Platform & Audience Expertise
  • Apply deep understanding of platform nuances to maximize reach and engagement.


  • Stay current on social media trends, features, and best practices.


  • Tailor content for multiple industries while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and brand integrity.


Performance Monitoring & Optimization
  • Track post performance using native platform analytics and/or client tools.


  • Identify high-performing content patterns and refine strategy accordingly.


  • Report key insights and performance trends to inform future content and campaigns.


Collaboration & Workflow
  • Collaborate closely with production and account teams to align on content, campaigns, and priorities.


  • Coordinate through project management and communication tools to meet timelines and deliverables.


  • Align working hours with U.S. Mountain or Eastern time zones when possible for real-time collaboration.


Note: Community management is not a primary responsibility unless otherwise requested.


Qualifications


Experience
  • 2–3+ years of experience in social media management, social strategy, or digital marketing.


  • Agency experience managing multiple brands or industries simultaneously is strongly preferred.


  • Demonstrated success executing social strategies that improved engagement, reach, or brand visibility.


Skills
  • Deep understanding of major social platforms and their best practices.


  • Strong writing ability with adaptability across tones, styles, and industries.


  • Solid visual storytelling skills and understanding of how to position creative assets for social.


  • Comfort with basic video and design tools for light edits, captioning, and thumbnail adjustments.


  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple content calendars and accounts.


  • Confidence using collaboration and project management tools.


  • Strategic mindset, attention to detail, adaptability, and proactive communication skills.


  • Ability to translate complex topics into accessible, engaging content.


  • Comfort working in fast-paced, high-output environments.

  • Consistent delivery of 5–10 high-quality, on-brand posts per week.


  • Clear, cohesive social presence aligned with each brand’s voice and positioning.


  • Measurable improvements in engagement, reach, or agreed-upon social KPIs.


  • Efficient use of existing content libraries to streamline posting workflows.


  • Positive feedback from internal teams and clients on quality, relevance, and reliability.
