Job Summary
The BIM Team Lead (Architect) is responsible for leading the BIM team, managing model coordination, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of BIM models, shop drawings, and related documentation. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate across disciplines to support project objectives.
Key Responsibilities Lead and/or participate in model coordination meetings, documenting outcomes and ensuring follow-ups. Manage preconstruction and BIM meetings, addressing site and design challenges. Coordinate models with internal teams and subcontractor detailers/modellers; ensure proper documentation of coordination sign-offs. Review and process shop drawing-level models for approval. Support the project team in construction coordination, scheduling, and planning. Prepare and print drawing sets for team and client review. Assist clients in calculating material quantities and planning crew workflows. Develop 3D models and dimensioned shop drawing sheets for field use. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of BIM models, shop drawings, and related deliverables. Maintain accurate daily and weekly timesheets for team activities.
Required Skills & Knowledge Minimum 6 years of professional experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering of Architecture Proficient in BIM software: Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360. Strong knowledge of architectural and engineering principles and BIM methodologies to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to manage BIM models that accurately represent design intent and support project decision-making. Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide the BIM team and coordinate with project stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills for technical challenges in BIM implementation. Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is advantageous.
