Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of a dynamic pharmacy retail group in Egypt. 

This role focuses on optimizing store performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing customer experience, and driving efficient processes across multiple retail locations. 

The ideal candidate is proactive, data-driven, and capable of leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations across multiple pharmacy locations to ensure consistent service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory management, merchandising, dispensing, and customer service.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnover, stock accuracy, loss prevention, wait times, and customer satisfaction; prepare regular performance reports for senior management.
  • Lead procurement planning, vendor management, and supplier negotiations to optimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance, including dispensing laws, storage requirements, labeling standards, and patient privacy policies.
  • Manage personnel across branches, including recruitment, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance appraisals.
  • Drive initiatives to improve patient adherence programs, health screenings, and value-added services (e.g., vaccination drives, counseling).
  • Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to execute promotions, product launches, and in-store campaigns.
  • Ensure proper cash handling, banking processes, and financial controls to safeguard assets.
  • Lead incident and risk management efforts, addressing safety, security, and quality concerns promptly.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Entrant-level to mid-level experience in retail operations, preferably within healthcare or pharmacy environments.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, regulatory requirements, and patient safety considerations.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to manage multiple sites and teams.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in Arabic; English proficiency is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel between locations as needed and adapt to a dynamic retail schedule.
