Operations and Maintenance – Network Engineer

Strategic Management:


                     Align with Business Goals


                     Familiarize with the company's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.


                     Work closely with other departments.


                     Clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


                     Forecast future network needs and plan for capacity expansion


Operations Management:


                     Monitor network performance and identify potential issues.


                     Analyze network logs and alerts to troubleshoot problems.


                     Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams and configuration files.


                     Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.


                     Troubleshoot network hardware and software problems.


                     Provide technical support to end-users.


                     Configuring Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, and Static) on Cisco Routers.


                     Configuring Switching Feature's (STP, VLANs, HSRP, PORT SECURITY, EtherChannel).


                     configuring L3 Switches


                     Configuring and Troubleshooting Network on Customer Sites


                     Initial Configuration of Firewall and policies.


                     Create and Manage Site-to-Site VPN connection.


                     Understanding Level Designs


                     Network support often requires 24/7 coverage, so shift work may be necessary.


                     On-Call Responsibilities Being on call to respond to urgent network issues outside of regular working hours may be required.

                     Build Relationships

                     Anticipate future needs and develop a roadmap for modernization.

                     Monitor and respond promptly to incidents.

                     Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation on solution configurations and operational procedures.


                     Prepare reports on incidents, system performance, and solution effectiveness with a Root cause analysis.
