Job Purpose:

The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all supply chain activities, ensuring smooth procurement, inventory management, and distribution of food products. The role ensures operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and full compliance with food safety standards, while leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to optimize supply chain processes.

 

Key Responsibilities :

Supply Chain Planning & Execution

  • Plan and manage daily supply chain operations to meet customer demands and business objectives.
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure seamless workflow.

Inventory Control & Warehouse Coordination

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Dynamics 365 Business Central, including stock movements, adjustments, and reconciliations.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to minimize discrepancies and prevent losses.
  • Implement and monitor first-in, first-out (FIFO) or other inventory management methods suitable for food products.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams for proper storage, handling, and rotation of perishable and non-perishable items.

Distribution & Logistics Management

  • Plan and schedule deliveries to clients and distribution centers to meet service-level agreements.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize routes, reduce transportation costs, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor delivery performance and resolve logistics issues proactively.

ERP System Management

  • Leverage Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to automate and track all supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory, order fulfillment, and reporting.
  • Generate detailed reports on inventory, procurement, and supply chain KPIs for management review.
  • Train and support team members in using Dynamics 365 Business Central efficiently.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all supply chain operations comply with food safety regulations, company standards, and government requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and traceability of products.
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes throughout the supply chain.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory levels, procurement status, supplier performance, and distribution efficiency.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Process Improvement & Cost Optimization

  • Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and implement process improvements.
  • Develop strategies to reduce operational costs without compromising quality or service.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technology solutions to enhance supply chain performance.
