Job Purpose

The Warehouse Team Leader oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant handling of food products. The role requires strong leadership skills and hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to manage inventory, transactions, and operational reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Ensure timely order fulfillment in line with delivery schedules and customer service standards.
  • Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 to manage inventory movements, batch tracking, and order processing.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for food items, applying FIFO (First In, First Out) / FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and supervise warehouse staff to meet productivity and quality targets.
  • Allocate tasks and shifts while monitoring attendance and performance.

Systems & Reporting (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)

  • Execute and monitor all warehouse transactions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (receiving, transfers, picking, dispatch, returns).
  • Ensure system data accuracy between physical stock and Dynamics 365 records.
  • Generate operational and inventory reports to support management decisions.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Supply Chain teams to resolve system discrepancies.

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, local regulations).
  • Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and temperature control within warehouse areas.
  • Report quality deviations, damages, and expiries promptly.

Inventory Control

  • Conduct cycle counts and support periodic stock takes.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances using Dynamics 365.
  • Minimize waste, damage, and expiry losses.

Health & Safety

  • Enforce health and safety rules and proper use of PPE.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse operations.

  • Inventory accuracy (physical vs Dynamics 365)
  • Order accuracy and on-time dispatch
  • Stock variance and waste reduction
  • System transaction accuracy
  • Team productivity and attendance
