Zewail City of Science, Technology and Innovation is seeking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical and HVAC systems to ensure they meet the facility’s operational requirements. The role provides technical expertise and recommendations on system design, upgrades, and improvements, while supervising maintenance activities and team performance. It also focuses on achieving departmental performance targets through effective monitoring, analysis, and reporting of key metrics.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise all mechanical and HVAC maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with contract provisions and safety standards.
• Generate and maintain the asset register for all mechanical and HVAC systems and equipment.
• Develop comprehensive maintenance plans for mechanical and HVAC systems and keep them up to date.
• Follow up on the implementation of approved maintenance plans and schedules to ensure optimal system performance.
• Manage spare parts inventory for mechanical and HVAC systems, ensuring adequate availability and proper stock control.
• Verify the compatibility of installed mechanical systems with design specifications and operational requirements.
• Attend technical meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to expedite design and maintenance activities.
• Provide technical advice on mechanical system design, upgrades, and modifications, especially regarding HVAC.
• Maintain detailed records of tests performed, maintenance activities, and work executed.
• Review mechanical/HVAC manuals and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to management.
