Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Accountant. This role is responsible for executing and overseeing core financial functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable and Costing.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of accounting standards (including IFRS), and the ability to drive process improvements and financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Execute monthly closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and resolution of discrepancies.
• Reconcile subsidiary ledgers with the General Ledger on a monthly basis and during year-end close.
• Prepare and post related journal vouchers for AP, AR, GL transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly ledger closing, with all accounting entries properly supported by valid documentation and approvals.
• Perform periodic reconciliations of supplier and vendor accounts and resolve outstanding balances.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Maintain and monitor the Fixed Assets register, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Assist in the preparation of annual asset disposal reports and supporting documentation.
• Perform project cost accounting and prepare detailed financial and cost analysis reports.
