We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Technical Office Manager to lead our engineering team. You will be the bridge between design, production, and the construction site, ensuring that all aluminum systems (curtain walls, windows, doors, and cladding) are engineered to the highest standards, delivered on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of technical office engineers and draftsmen; distribute workloads and oversee professional development.
Technical Submittals: Oversee the preparation of detailed shop drawings, material submittals, and calculations for consultant approval.
Quantity Surveying: Manage the preparation of accurate Material Take-offs (MTO) and Cutting Lists to minimize waste and optimize procurement.
System Design: Review and approve technical solutions for complex architectural requirements using international systems (e.g., Schüco, Technal, Reynaers) or custom extrusions.
Project Coordination: Liaise with Project Managers, Architects, and Site Engineers to resolve technical discrepancies and ensure seamless installation.
Cost Control: Monitor project budgets from a technical standpoint and provide value engineering options to save costs without compromising quality.
QA/QC Oversight: Ensure all technical deliverables comply with ISO standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Architecture degree may be considered with relevant experience).Experience: Minimum of 5 year in a managerial role (and 8+ years total) specifically within the Aluminum Fabrication or Façade industry.Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and MS Office. Experience with LogiKal (Orgadata), Revit, or SchuCal is a significant advantage.Deep Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural glazing, thermal performance, and wind load requirements.Communication: Fluent in [Insert Language] with excellent negotiation skills for dealing with clients and subcontractors.Detail Oriented: A "eagle eye" for spotting errors in complex technical drawings before they reach the factory floor.
