The Quantity Surveyor Engineer is responsible for managing all costs related to construction and engineering projects. This includes preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, budgets, and ensuring projects are completed within approved financial limits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Estimate project costs and prepare cost plans and budgets.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Participate in tendering processes, including cost comparison and evaluation.
- Monitor project costs and control variations and claims.
- Prepare interim payment certificates and final accounts.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and site engineers.
- Analyze subcontractor quotations and negotiate prices when required.
- Track project progress and report cost deviations.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and company cost control procedures.
