1.Drawings & Design Coordination
- Prepare, review, and update electrical shop drawings, load schedules, single-line diagrams, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards (IEC, NEC, BS).
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and mechanical departments to avoid conflicts and ensure proper integration of systems.
2. Material Submittals & Approvals
- Prepare and submit electrical materials (cables, lighting fixtures, switchboards, etc.) for consultant/client approval.
- Review vendor data sheets and compare them with project requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material delivery to site.
3. Quantity Surveying & Cost Estimation
- Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs from approved drawings.
- Assist in cost estimation, budget tracking, and value engineering proposals.
4. Site Coordination & Technical Support - Provide technical support to site engineers during installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Resolve design or installation issues in coordination with consultants.
- Review and approve inspection requests (IRs) and method statements related to electrical works.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain updated records of drawings, submittals, approvals, and correspondence.
- Prepare weekly/monthly technical progress reports.
- Update as-built documentation and ensure proper handover at project completion.
6. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all electrical work is executed according to QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
- Participate in site inspections and audits.
