Senior Retail Functional Consultant – D365 Commerce (Retail & POS)

  • Lead implementation and configuration of Dynamics 365 Commerce including Retail Channels, POS (MPOS/CPOS), Retail Headquarters, Store Setup, and Retail Parameters.
  • Configure store profiles, registers, hardware stations, POS layouts, notifications, and user permissions.
  • Ensure accurate POS-to-HQ synchronization for transactions, inventory, prices, and promotions.
  • Configure price lists, discounts, promotions, coupons, and retail pricing strategies.
  • Support loyalty program rules, customer tiers, reward points, and redemption logic.
  • Manage seasonal promotions, campaign setups, and mass price updates across 200 stores.
  • Design end-to-end store operations including cash management, safe transactions, shift handling, end-of-day (EOD) closing, and retail statements.
  • Support retail processes such as refunds, voids, returns, customer orders, store pickup, and home delivery.
  • Work directly with store managers to address operational challenges, optimize POS processes, and ensure staff compliance.
  • Support store-level inventory workflows including stock counting, stock transfers, stock adjustments, returns-to-vendor (RTV), and shrinkage management.
  • Ensure seamless integration between POS and SCM modules for replenishment, on-hand accuracy, and stock valuation.
  • Monitor store-level inventory synchronization and troubleshoot discrepancies.
  • Manage retail-specific data such as product variants, barcodes, attributes, categories, product hierarchies, and assortments.
  • Ensure accurate item availability per store through channel assortment configurations.
  • Support integrations between POS and Payment providers, Loyalty systems, Mobile apps, E-commerce platforms.
  • Support and configure retail hardware including weighing scales, barcode printers, and cash drawers, and coordinate with technical teams for extensions, workflows, and API integrations.
  • Build and deliver retail performance dashboards including Sales, Store KPIs, Staff performance and Basket analysis.
  • Analyze promotions uplift and evaluate the impact of discounts and campaigns.
  • Support management with daily, weekly, and monthly retail reporting needs.
  • Prepare BRD, FRD, FDD, test scripts, and user guides for all retail processes.
  • Lead UAT cycles with retail operations, store managers, and finance teams.
  • Conduct training for store staff, retail controllers, POS supervisors, and area managers.
  • Analyze store operations to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and system issues.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance user experience, cashier speed, and operational accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with retail controls, policies, and audit requirements.
