Project Manager- Owner Representative

  • Act as Owner’s representative adding value to the construction process.
  • Ensure Contractor is providing a safe working environment.
  • Represent Owner in a professional manner at the site.
  • Work to mitigate change orders and to ensure that construction is undertaken properly and that Owner’s risk is minimized.
  • Ensure that contractors are performing and providing deliverables per the construction agreement/contract.
  • Monitor daily construction activities at the project site including scheduling of work and delivery of equipment & materials.
  • Review submittals, drawings, and reports during the project design phase to avoid potential issues in construction.
  • Responsible for the resources allocation including manpower and budget.
  • Review and comment on construction benchmark assemblies.
  • Monitor construction and report on work progress, budget status, and schedule status on a regular basis to project and corporate management in verbal and report form.
  • Review, interpret, and provide feedback on contractor provided documents to the consultant.
  • Review, verify, and approve Contractor progress billings.
  • Review all commissioning, quality assurance, and quality control work/reporting done by contractor.
  • Resolve issues that arise in the site with the contractor and the consultant.
  • Develop and implement advanced execution practices.
  • Monitor and control program compliance in respect of the projects contractual obligations.
  • Ensure that project controls processes are consistently applied across the project.
  • Ensuring the Project controls team produces weekly/ monthly reports in line with the project and company reporting calendar, providing details on progress, actual, forecast, and explanation of variances.
  • Develop a reporting system for yearly, quarterly and monthly review that would allow management to get orientated to result as required and monitor progress at project sites efficiently.
  • Responsible for maintaining good working relationships with consultants, contractors and the community.
  • Responsible for proper management of material delivery on sites and ensuring proper handling of site materials.
  • Coordinate with design, technical office, marketing, and sales departments.
  • Manage project documents from drawings, schedules, quantities, and specifications, and notify the technical office of any deficiencies.
