Dry Mixing Operations:
- Supervise daily dry blending activities based on production schedules.
- Ensure accurate weighing, dosing, and mixing of ingredients according to approved formulations.
- Monitor mixing parameters (time, speed, homogeneity, particle size).
- Ensure consistent quality across all powder products.
2. Quality Assurance:
- Inspect and verify the quality of raw materials before use.
- Ensure proper sieving, blending uniformity, and particle distribution.
- Coordinate with QC to address deviations in color, texture, flowability, or moisture content.
- Maintain compliance with product specifications and standards.
3. Production Planning & Coordination:
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Coordinate with packaging, warehouse, and QC teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain continuous production flow and minimize downtime.
4. Staff Supervision & Training:
- Supervise mixing operators, helpers, and other supporting staff.
- Provide training on safe handling of powder ingredients and mixing equipment.
- Evaluate staff performance and ensure proper shift handovers.
5. Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
- Oversee the operation of mixers, blenders, sifters, ribbon mixers, and pneumatic conveyors.
- Ensure routine cleaning and sanitization of mixing equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions promptly and coordinate with maintenance team.
6. Safety & Hygiene Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP).
- Enforce hygiene protocols and PPE use within the mixing area.
- Minimize contamination risks by following proper allergen control procedures.
7. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate batch records, production logs, and mixing reports.
- Track raw material usage and report any variances.
- Report production output, wastage, machine performance, and issues to the Production Manager.
Skills
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in food technology, Industrial Production, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in dry mixing operations in the food industry (preferably cake mix, jelly, or powdered products).
- Strong understanding of powder blending technologies.
- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot mixing and formulation issues.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
