Job purpose:
- EPC Project Cost Control is responsible for monitoring, and updating all project cost details to ensure the execution of
projects within budget. Cost Control Engineer will coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, and construction
teams to track project actual cost.
- Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:
EPC Project Cost Control Engineer specializing in Substations, Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL) and
Underground Cables (UGC) with 3 to 5 years of experience: - Monitor and control project costs to ensure projects are completed within budget
- Review, and analyze cost estimates and project budgets
- Compare actual project costs to budgeted costs and provide explanations for any variances
- Create and maintain cost-tracking spreadsheets and reports
- Track and report on project progress and cost performance
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cost-reduction measures
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting
- Prepare and submit cost reports to PMO and projects managers as required
- Cost controller shall control and review the purchase requisitions as per the approved budget by the management
Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Proficient in cost-tracking software and MS Office Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team having experience with contractor-side company in the Saudi / Gul
