Job Purpose
- To work directly with the Head of Dept. to capture information about the strategic moves in the ICT sector and adjacent sectors, identify potential opportunities of strategic partnerships in the market including merger and acquisitions opportunities and other investment and efficiency exercises.
- Responsible for developing frameworks for the emerging opportunities and run the required market sizing & financial analysis of these opportunities.
- Primary responsibilities will also include comparable company analytics, ad-hoc research and analysis of complex issues.

Strategic thinking\:
• Identify synergetic opportunities with EM for an M&A roadmap in line with EM’s strategy. Preliminary screen identified targets, apply strategic filtering criteria and conclude on an investment strategy
• Continuously Scanning the market to capture strategically-fit business opportunities for EM (such as New offered bids in the market, newly government sponsored initiatives, investments and projects)
Financial and technical analysis\:
• Perform an in-house preliminary financial due diligence to assess identified targets’ financial performances
• High- level feasibility studies to size the opportunities in hand, Caveats of execution and possible synergies with EM business
• Prepare, update and review financial business models using DCF and market comparable of different targets in various sectors and report on findings vis-à-vis existing models, advisory outputs, target-provided data and market trends
• Assess preliminary valuations for target company through a well-versed, organized and user-friendly financial business model
• Perform sensitivity analysis on financial models
• Preliminary analysis of historical financial statements of potential targets; focusing on key KPI’s and financial ratios as well as other risk areas depending on the industry
• Review and comment on M&A related documents (i.e. Non-binding offers, SPA’s, DD & valuation reports, shareholders’ agreements) alongside our advisors
• Conduct market sizing of potential segments based on official reports, primary research, published and internal researches (CIT segment, Fintech, e-commerce, …etc) • Study EM major base trends to marry with market opportunities
Stakeholder management\:
• Present the findings in the form of an investment memo to EM management with a solid conclusion and way forward plan
• Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders in identifying the strategic rationale for our investment thesis
• Active-listening and implementing management’s feedback on presented investment deck to amend and submit accordingly
• Work on and participate in interval updates to the Group on the M&A roadmap
• Take lead on all meetings and discussions with target partners and other entities if needed
(advisors, targets, internal SPOCs, other external shareholders)
• Run the RFP process in case of several service provider options to reach out to best rates
• Handel the mergers & acquisitions activities
- Govern the valuation process, due diligence, Strategic due diligence
- Establish the strategic rationale of the investment and the type of synergies that can be established with ET current business
- Support in the communication with the target companies communicating the financial performance and business outlook to potential partners
