Objective:
To ensure smooth plant operations by carrying out installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery.
Key Result Areas:
- Perform mechanical maintenance, fitting, and alignment of plant machinery and equipment.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machines.
- Identify mechanical faults and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per schedule.
- Maintain tools, spares, and work areas in good condition.
- Support shutdown and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure compliance with plant standards.
- Coordinate with engineers and technicians for continuous equipment improvement.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Fitter or in a similar mechanical role, with a maximum of 8 years preferred.Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Experience working with a variety of hand and power tools in an industrial setting.Solid understanding of workplace safety standards and best practices.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Effective communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and reporting issues.Physical fitness and stamina to handle manual tasks and work in various conditions.Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required by operational needs.
