- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems in the computer labs.
- Install, update, and configure software applications and operating systems.
- Ensure printers, scanners, and other peripherals are operational and properly maintained.
- Monitor lab usage and enforce university policies regarding proper use of equipment and internet access.
- Assist faculty members during labs by ensuring systems are ready and functioning.
- Provide basic support to students in using lab software, saving files, and operating lab equipment
- Monitor and manage system backups, software licenses, and antivirus protections.
- Maintain inventory of lab equipment and software licenses.
- Report equipment failures or issues to IT or the relevant department for repair or replacement.
- Maintain usage logs and generate regular reports on lab utilization.
- Ensure compliance with university IT security, data protection, and health and safety policies.
- Support accessibility and inclusive practices in the lab for students with special needs.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of upgrades or lab improvements.
Undertake various duties as assigned by HOD/Dean.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field1–3 years of experience in computer lab support or a similar technical environment, preferably within an academic institution.Proficient in Windows and commonly used softwareStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Solid experience in MAC OS X installation, including Systems Recovery, Backup tools, Hardware maintenance, NLE Software Setup, Blackmagic and Video board familiar, SAN Storages Management, Apple Compatibility with Windows, MAC OS X administrationFor applicants to the post of Multi-media Apple lab, it required that candidates must have previous experience in working in Apple lab.
