About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to drive business growth, build and maintain client relationships, and manage the end-to-end sales lifecycle for design and consulting projects. The role requires close collaboration with Commercial, Design and Technical teams to ensure timely delivery, accurate proposals, and strong client satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities:
Source new opportunities via brokers, architects, project managers, contractors and repeat clients. Pre-qualify prospects and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Provide weekly sales reports to the Commercial Manager and Managing Partner/GM detailing pipeline status, progress vs. targets and forecasts.
Maintain up-to-date client records in the CRM and ensure all communications are logged.
Arrange client meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and follow up with meeting packages (company profile, key points).
Coordinate preparation and timely submission of commercial and technical proposals; work with pricing team for accurate estimates.
Coordinate project timelines with Commercial, Design and Technical teams to keep projects on track.
Manage contract signings; approve payment terms and schedules; ensure required documentation is submitted to Commercial Manager / MP / GM.
Liaise with Design and Technical Directors to secure municipal/regulatory approvals and required land documents.
Organize project kickoffs and present conceptual design phases to clients alongside the Design Director.
Coordinate with finance to monitor client payments, collections and deliverables against agreed schedules and terms.
Drive post-project follow-up to secure completion certificates and recommendation letters, support client retention.
Meet sales targets by acquiring new business and expanding existing client relationships.
Maintain high levels of sales activity (calls, meetings, logs, presentations).
 


Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.Minimum 5+ years’ experience in business development or sales within architectural, engineering, construction, or consulting sectors (or equivalent).Proven track record of winning and managing mid-to-large consulting/design projects.Strong commercial acumen with experience preparing proposals, pricing and contract negotiation.Experience working with CRM systems and producing sales forecasts/reports.Solid understanding of municipal/regulatory approval processes (preferred).Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
