Position: HSE Engineer (Night Shift)
Department: Health, Safety & Environment
Reports to: HSE Manager
Overall Purpose of the Role
To lead and coordinate the implementation of effective HSE strategies across all company sites and projects. Ensures full compliance with local legislation, international standards (ISO 45001), and company-specific HSE policies, while actively promoting a safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
A. HSE Planning & Training
- Develop toolbox talk topics and lead regular HSE briefings.
- Ensure proper setup for HSE training (sites & offices).
- Prepare training materials (tests, handouts, awareness videos).
- Identify training needs and deliver sessions to all employee levels.
- Promote occupational health and safety awareness and practices.
B. Risk Assessment & Incident Management
- Identify and assess potential hazards (gases, fumes, unsafe practices, etc.).
- Recommend and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Review supervisors’ reports and ensure timely follow-up actions.
- Monitor COVID-19 precautions and ensure full compliance.
C. Reporting & Documentation
- Issue monthly, quarterly, and annual HSE reports.
- Forecast HSE manpower, equipment, and training requirements.
- Approve and maintain HSE documentation required by consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
- Keep accurate logs of inspections, training, and surveillance programs.

- Zero Lost Time Incidents (LTI)
- On-time HSE training implementation
- Monthly & annual HSE dashboards submitted
- ISO 45001 compliance maintained
- Proactive safety audits and site visits
 
 
   Job RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).Experience: Minimum 4 years in HSE within construction or industrial projects.Certifications: OSHA and NEBOSH (required); ISO 45001 certification is a plus.Knowledge: Excellent understanding of Egyptian HSE laws and international standards.Skills: Strong leadership, reporting, and training capabilities.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Is a mustMinimum 4 years of relevant experience in construction or industrial HSE rolesCertification in ISO 45001, OSHA, NEBOSH is a strong plusExcellent knowledge of Egyptian HSE laws and international standardsStrong leadership, reporting, and training skills
