1. Audio and Video Systems
- Install, configure, and maintain A/V systems including projectors, displays, microphones, amplifiers, mixers, speakers, and digital signal processors.
- Support lecture halls, classrooms, and events by ensuring audio and video systems perform reliably.
- Perform troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance on A/V devices.
- Collaborate with academic and event teams for system setup and optimization.
-Maintain updated A/V documentation, diagrams, and equipment inventories.
2. CCTV Surveillance Systems
-Install, configure, and maintain IP-based CCTV systems (cameras, NVRs/DVRs, servers, and network infrastructure).
-Monitor system performance, ensure proper camera coverage, and maintain video retention policies.
-Troubleshoot connectivity and image quality issues.
-Coordinate with the security department to support investigations or incidents.
3. Access Control Systems
-Oversee installation, programming, and maintenance of door access controllers, readers, and credentials.
-Manage access schedules and ensure system integration with security and IT infrastructure.
-Troubleshoot hardware or network issues affecting door control or user access.
-Maintain accurate records of access permissions and configurations.
4. Low-Current Infrastructure
- Supervise and perform structured cabling installation (Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optics) supporting A/V, CCTV, and access systems.
-Ensure all terminations, labeling, and routing comply with TIA/EIA standards.
-Conduct periodic inspections, testing, and documentation updates for all low-voltage systems.
-Oversee third-party contractors to ensure installation quality and compliance.
5. Leadership and Coordination
-Lead and mentor junior technicians and guide them in troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
-Work closely with IT, Facilities, and Security teams to ensure system integration and operational readiness.
-Participate in system design reviews, vendor evaluations, and project implementation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular reports on system performance and maintenance activities.
- 8-10 years of experience in IT light current systems (preferably in educational or institutional environments). - Strong knowledge of A/V technologies, signal processing, and event system setup. - Hands-on experience with CCTV and Access Control systems, including configuration and networking. - Excellent communication and team coordination abilities. - Capable of leading teams and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. - Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, or equivalent A/V control systems (a plus). - Specialized training or certification in Audio/Video, CCTV, or Access Control Systems preferred.
