Technical Office Engineer

Design & Drawings:

  • Review and prepare shop drawingsas-built drawings, and architectural/civil details.
  • Coordinate with design consultants and site teams to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.

Quantity Surveying, BOQ and Scheduling :

  • Prepare quantity take-offs for civil and architectural works.
  •  preparation of project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of project tasks 
  • Review and verify subcontractors’ quantities and invoices.
  • Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and material take-offs.

Technical Submissions & Documentation:

  • Prepare and review method statementsRFIsmaterial submittals, and technical reports.
  • Manage document control in coordination with the Document Controller.
  • Track and maintain logs for submittals, approvals, and revisions.

Coordination:

  • Liaise between site engineers, consultants, and other disciplines (MEP, structural, etc.).
  • Provide technical support to the site team and ensure design intent is implemented.
  • Participate in project meetings and technical workshops.

Project Monitoring & Compliance:

  • Monitor the implementation of work on-site to match approved drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with building codeshealth and safety standards, and quality assurance procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.5-7 years of experience in technical office and design coordination roles.Strong understanding of civil and architectural systems in building construction.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, Primavera/MS ProjectPreferably aware of BIM systems and workflowsFamiliarity with shop drawing standards, codes (local & international), and construction methods.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Good English communication skills (spoken & written)
