- Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts, investigating and resolving variances.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize losses.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, adjustments, and transfers within the accounting system.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to inventory accounts.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the integrity of inventory data and adherence to internal controls.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management regarding inventory trends and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.4-5 years of experience in inventory accounting, inventory control, or a similar role.Strong understanding of inventory management principles and accounting standards.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment is preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced office environment.
