- Develop and manage detailed mechanical BIM models for various engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural, and electrical engineers, to coordinate and integrate mechanical systems within the overall BIM environment.
- Prepare and update mechanical drawings, schematics, and documentation using BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Identify and resolve clashes or conflicts in the BIM model through regular coordination meetings and clash detection processes.
- Support the design and engineering teams by providing technical input and BIM expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation of project deliverables, including 3D models, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure all BIM models adhere to company and industry standards, including quality control and data integrity protocols.
- Participate in the development and implementation of BIM execution plans and workflows for mechanical systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BIM technologies, tools, and best practices relevant to mechanical engineering.
- Provide training and support to junior team members or other stakeholders on BIM processes and software as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.1-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on BIM modeling and coordination.Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or similar platforms.Strong understanding of mechanical systems design, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in BIM and mechanical engineering.Willingness to work onsite as required by project demands.
