- Create initial garment patterns based on sketches, tech packs, or measurements.
- Draft, cut, and adjust patterns manually or using CAD software.
- Ensure the correct fit and structure of garments through fittings and revisions.
- Grade patterns for different sizes while maintaining proportions and design accuracy.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in manual pattern drafting and/or using CAD software such as:Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, or CLO 3D (depending on the company’s workflow).Strong understanding of garment construction, cutting, grading, and fitting.Ability to accurately translate design sketches into functional patterns.Knowledge:Solid knowledge of body measurements, fitting techniques, and size grading.Understanding of fabric behavior, shrinkage, and garment production processes.Familiarity with sample development and prototyping stages.Attention to Detail:High attention to detail in measurements, symmetry, and technical specifications.Ability to spot and correct pattern inconsistencies.Communication & Teamwork:Able to collaborate with designers, sample makers, and production teams.Strong communication skills to interpret and clarify design requirements.Adaptability & Time Management:Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.Flexible and responsive to design changes and urgent requests.A Pattern Maker (Female) is required to work in a children’s clothing factoryResponsibilities and Requirements:Experience in creating, executing, and adjusting clothing patternsProficiency in using pattern-making softwareGood knowledge of fabric types, cutting, and finishing methodsHigh accuracy in measurements and attention to production detailsAbility to work within the design and production teamEducation:Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or a related field is preferred.Additional training or certifications in pattern drafting is a plus.
