Director of Projects Department

TAKAMOL - Egypt - Cairo

Job Objective and Purpose: Responsible for planning and executing projects, managing resources, and quality control. Aims to achieve project delivery on time while staying within budget and costs without compromising quality, adhering to deadlines, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and risk management.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop a detailed plan that includes the schedule and budget.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate work between teams, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that finishes comply with standards and specifications.
  • Client Communication: Maintain continuous communication with clients to meet their needs.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate their impact.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Process Improvement: Look for opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on project progress and potential issues.
  • Study New Projects (Under Review): Analyze costs and profit margins after reviewing them with the General Manager.

Educational Qualifications:The candidate must hold one of the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree: in Civil Engineering.Bachelor's Degree: in Architectural Engineering.Bachelor's Degree: in Electrical Engineering.The Project Manager is preferred to hold one of the following qualifications:Master's Degree in Project Management (MBA Project Management).Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA Business Administration).Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2.Experience:Experience of no less than five years in project management, up to ten years in a similar positionLanguages:Fluent in Arabic, both spoken and written.Proficient in English, preferably at a very good level, both spoken and written.Skills:Deep understanding of engineering and construction fields, including materials and techniques used in finishes.Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.Ability to create clear action plans and effectively organize resources.Strong time management skills to ensure on-time delivery.Capability to negotiate successfully with clients, suppliers, and contractors.Strong skills in presenting ideas, reports, proposals, and practices clearly and persuasively.Ability to analyze problems and find effective and quick solutions.Skills in performance evaluation and results analysis to identify improvement opportunities.Ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve common goals.Skills in handling and resolving conflicts effectively.Familiarity with design and planning software such as AutoCAD and Revit.Understanding of modern technological trends in the construction and design fields.Personality traits:Ability to lead teams and motivate individuals to achieve goals.Adaptability to rapid changes in the work environment and facing challenges.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to build good relationships with the team and clients.Attention to detail to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.Ability to handle pressure and difficult situations calmly and professionally.Innovative thinking to find effective solutions to problems and challenges.Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions based on data.Commitment to achieving goals and deadlines while maintaining quality standards.Professional demeanor and adherence to work ethics at all times.Ability to work collaboratively with others and foster a positive work environment.Openness to feedback and constructive criticism to develop and improve job tasks and project outcomes.
