- A. Equipment Maintenance
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on dental chairs, suction units, X-ray machines, autoclaves, compressors, and other clinical devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment with minimal downtime.
- Calibrate dental equipment in accordance with manufacturer and health authority standards.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment maintenance, issues, and resolutions.
- B. Infection Control Support
- Ensure sterilizers and autoclaves operate correctly and report any faults immediately.
- Coordinate with the Infection Control Officer to ensure maintenance activities do not compromise infection control protocols.
- C. Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to urgent repair requests (e.g., power failures, water leaks, malfunctioning dental units).
- Remain on-call for critical maintenance issues during clinic operating hours.
- D. Asset & Inventory Management
- Track maintenance tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Notify procurement or storekeeper when spare parts need restocking.
- Assist with asset tagging and condition reporting of clinic equipment.
- Provide a list of possible spare parts and suppliers to Procurement and the CEO.
- E. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain maintenance checklists and complete service history for equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory and safety standards.
- Support audits related to facility and equipment maintenance.
Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience in maintaining dental equipment.Strong experience in planning and supervising maintenance operations.Excellent knowledge of cost management in maintenance activities.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
