Engineering Department Manager

The Engineering Department Manager is responsible for leading and developing department staff and own the technical operations of the company, including installation & commissioning, warranty execution, after sales service spare parts sales and project management.

The role demands strategic leadership to enhance team performance, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and coordinate with OEMs and clients. The manager also plays a key role in executing complex projects, maintaining customer satisfaction, and aligning engineering operations with company objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team, including field service managers, technical support staff, and service coordinators.
  • Develop and implement staff succession and training plans to ensure department resilience.
  • Manage claims and warranty coordination with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including process optimization and business re-engineering within the department.
  • Participate actively in the company’s strategic planning and business development efforts.
  • Maintain key client relationships, conducting meetings as necessary to address technical needs.
  • Lead technically complex and customized projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.

 Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.12 to 18 years of relevant experience in technical project management within telecommunications or security sectors.Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in business process design.Background in maintenance or service operations is a distinct advantage.Proficiency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
