- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for tenders.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary data for bid preparation.
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns for various construction projects.
- Review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
- Develop and submit comprehensive tender documents in accordance with client requirements and deadlines.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential cost-saving opportunities during the estimation process.
- Participate in pre-tender meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions with clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, material costs, and industry trends to inform accurate estimations.
- Support contract negotiations by providing technical and financial insights as needed.
- Ensure all tendering and estimation activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or a related engineering role within the construction industry.Proven ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and tender documents for large-scale projects.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing.Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.Proficiency in estimation and tendering software, such as Candy, CCS, or similar tools.Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Solid organizational and time management skills.Experience working in an office-based environment with occasional site visits as required.
