- Monitor, analyze, and report on all cost expenditures across hotel and resort operations to ensure alignment with budgetary targets.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for management review, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with department heads to establish and maintain cost control procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory, procurement, and usage to identify inefficiencies, wastage, or potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate cost data and insights to inform financial planning.
- Review and validate supplier invoices, purchase orders, and contracts to ensure accuracy and adherence to negotiated terms.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost control systems and software to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost statements and participate in financial closing activities.
- Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to reconcile cost accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting cost control in the hospitality sector.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3 to 5 years of proven experience in cost control, accounting, or financial analysis, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry.Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.Ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings to non-financial stakeholders.Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Familiarity with ERP systems or cost control software is an advantage.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
