The National Sponsored Programs Officer is responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of nationally funded research and sponsorship initiatives at Zewail City. This role involves identifying national funding opportunities, assisting faculty and researchers in preparing competitive proposals, ensuring adherence to national sponsor guidelines, and managing sponsored programs post-funding. The officer will serve as the primary liaison between ZC and national funding agencies, promoting strategic partnerships to advance the university’s research objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and disseminate information on national funding opportunities to faculty and researchers.
  • Provide guidance and support in the preparation and submission of national grant proposals.
  • Review proposals to ensure compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines.
  • Coordinate with legal, financial, and research compliance offices to facilitate proposal development and award negotiation.
  • Monitor funded projects to ensure compliance with sponsor regulations and ZC policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of submissions, awards, and sponsor communications.
  • Foster relationships with national agencies, foundations, and industry partners.
  • Assist in developing training sessions and materials for faculty related to national sponsorship programs.

Bachelor’s degree in business major or any related field.3 - 7 years of experience in research administration or managing national sponsorships.In-depth knowledge of national funding mechanisms, policies, and procedures (e.g., government agencies, local foundations).Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.Proficiency in grant management systems and software tools.
